What started as finishing one room has slowly progressed into me wanting to tackle every room in my house. And I’ve gotten pretty far in the past few years. I still have a way to go, but I figured it’s time to start sharing some of these projects and hopefully helping others feel empowered enough to also give it a try!

Faux wood look furniture has never looked so good! I’ve been wanting to try this technique for a while and figured this side table was the perfect thing to try it on! All the details did make it a little more difficult, but it was such an easy project with a major impact. This thing was so cheap when I bought it and now it looks like it was hundreds of dollars from Pottery Barn. I can’t wait to try it again!

We love having this fireplace media cabinet, especially during the cold winter months. But the style was just no longer doing it for me with all the other upgrades I’ve been making in my living room. So, I added a little trim here, some doors there, and a bit of paint and voila! It’s like a whole new fireplace!
The lesson? If something can be salvaged, why not try?!

We’re making progress in the living room!
This storage bench is exactly what this space needed. The living room is small, so having multipurpose pieces is key. I love that this bench can provide extra seating when needed, but also provides storage. Plus it was seriously so easy to build!
Up next? We’re giving my fireplace media console an upgrade 🥰

One of my favorite reasons to DIY?!
When you can’t find exactly what you want! Instead of compromising, build it! I knew I wanted a small coffee table that still had drawers. And my husband needed something cozy for when he put his feet up, so we needed a cushion. I was inspired by a discontinued West Elm coffee table, but made it my own, and we love it! 💙🤍
Next up? We’re building a little bench!
